The Role
As a Content Writer at Stonechat Digital, you're not just enhancing websites; you're propelling businesses into the spotlight with best-in-class content to delight customers, search engine algorithms and ultimately the client. For this particular role, it will be focused primarily on the UK energy market but may entail covering other product areas from time-to-time from VPNs to sports betting.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with our search team to develop and refine content strategies that align with our client's goals, ensuring a cohesive approach to their overall SEO strategy.
- Content Briefs: Working with our search team to put together clearly defined content briefs that meet the user intent behind specific, and strategically important, search terms.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest energy news and trends to then create timely content to publish to the website and occasionally push out to the UK media.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and strategy sessions, contributing ideas and insights to support team objectives and client goals.
Who We're Looking For
We're searching for an individual who has a passion for creative and engaging content. They will also have:
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse SERPs and identify gaps that we can plug with best-in-class content.
- Content Optimisation Skills: Experience working with content teams to optimise blog posts, landing pages, and other website content for SEO. Including using tools such as Grammarly.
- Strong Organisation Skills: The ability to manage the content pipeline through platforms such as Trello and Asana and upload content through CMS platforms such as Umbraco and Contentful.
- SEO Experience: Demonstrated success in improving SEO rankings, traffic, and conversion rates, ideally within an agency environment.
- Technical SEO Knowledge: An understanding of technical aspects of SEO, including site structure, crawlability issues, and mobile optimization.
- Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting strategies and results to clients both face-to-face or via video call.
- Problem-Solving Attitude: Creative thinker with a knack for solving complex problems and overcoming challenges.
- Continuous Learner: Eager to learn and adapt, with a commitment to staying informed about industry trends, customer behaviour and algorithm changes.
- Team Player: Enthusiastic about working in a team environment, sharing knowledge, and contributing to team success.
